Our operational focus is to continuously improve our cost and technical performance as well as maintain excellent social and environmental practices. We also seek to continually enhance customer experience through regular customer feedback and engagement.
In addition to owning bauxite concessions and trading coal, we aim to expand our depth and breadth by diversifying to other commodities to be a key player in the industry.
Sustainability is embedded as a core component of our corporate strategy.
TOP, China’s Yantai Port Group and Guinea’s Societe Bauxite Kimbo SA Unipersonelle (Kimbo) formed a consortium on 12 February 2019 to build a port along the Fratala River, one of Guinea’s major waterways.
This is a joint, collaborative project in which construction will be carried out in phases to enable the group to progressively scale the port in terms of capacity and operational efficiency. In 2020, we completed phase one of the project.
The port has a capacity of loading of 10 million MT per annum. The second phase will be completed by the end of 2021, raising the capacity to 15 million MT. When completed, the port will serve selected mining concessions and help fuel the growth of our bauxite business in the country.
